Monday, June 29, 1964 The Frances Hubbard Diaries

June 29, 1964
Monday, beautiful day, upper 70's, very dry.  Girls and I went to DVBS.  Joan and Pearl Hallock and children here a few minutes in evening.  Gerald, David went to Syracuse for Joe Gallo, left 1:30 am.  Bonded called 3 times for Gerald.
Comment: David and I hauling charcoal for Timberland. Joe Gallo handled all their trucking at the time. Bonded had not called me for about a week so I gave up on them and started driving again for Timberland...less money, non-union, not happy.....not sure why we left at 130am unless had to get there when the warehouse opened....Here is an ad for Timberland Brix that we probably hauled. The ad is from 1969.....

You're always young in your mind it is said, No matter the face in the mirror, That you see with surprise then say to yourself, "What is that old man doing here?"
