Tuesday, March 10, 1964 The Frances Hubbard Diaires

March 10, 1964
Tuesday, cloudy most of the day but warm.  I washed in am.  We were at Marilyn's for dinner.  David went to Escondido in pm. Anita sick in bed with flu.
Comment: Not much going on but, on this day exactly 19 years before, 334 B29 Bombers dropped incendiary bombs on Tokyo killing at least 100,000 people, mostly civilians. Curtis Le May, the commander at the time later said: "Killing Japanese didn't bother me very much at that time... I suppose if I had lost the war, I would have been tried as a war criminal."

You're always young in your mind it is said, No matter the face in the mirror, That you see with surprise then say to yourself, "What is that old man doing here?"
