Thursday, March 12, 1964, The Frances Hubbard Diaries

March 12, 1964
Thursday, cloudy, 57, cool.  We were at Marilyn's for lunch, she still was about sick with a cold.  Clifton and I went to Escondido in pm.  David and Wayne went to Jim's at night and worked on his car.  I wrote to Mother,  Doug, Gerald, LaVerne.  Had letter from Mother telling of plant office burning.  Floods in Ohio Valley still bad.
Comment: The plant that Bessie (Mother) is talking about was a glove making plant owned by Charlie Papa who is Mary Ann's cousin and very good friend and is in Richmondville, NY....Five Degrees....The damned car still not fixed....sure wish I had those letters she wrote...

You're always young in your mind it is said, No matter the face in the mirror, That you see with surprise then say to yourself, "What is that old man doing here?"
