Tuesday, January 19, 1965 The Frances Hubbard Diaries

January 19, 1965
Tuesday, fair, about 20.  Three above in early am.  Wayne went to Cobleskill with us for X-ray on chest, only swollen cartilage.  Went to Mother's for dinner.  Bought supplies at Bullard's.  Got letter from bank at post office.  Candy Bailey died.
Comment: Wayne and my mother had a mild case of a genetic chest condition called "pigeon chest" or pectus excavatum where there is a slight depression in the sternum and that is probably why he had a problem....not sure if other kids and grand kids also have this. I don't ....and that is probably TMI......

You're always young in your mind it is said, No matter the face in the mirror, That you see with surprise then say to yourself, "What is that old man doing here?"
