Saturday, January 16, 1965 The Frances Hubbard Diaries

January 16, 1965
Saturday, 0 high, light snow.  Gerald called from Albany in am and said he was headed for Syracuse.  David worked.  Dougie and Wayne went to Oneonta in am.  Had letter from Marilyn.
Comment: I think I was going to Syracuse to interview for a high school teaching job that paid about $2800 per year to start. I got the offer but was waiting for my Ford Motor interview in Buffalo on the 20th...

You're always young in your mind it is said, No matter the face in the mirror, That you see with surprise then say to yourself, "What is that old man doing here?"
