January 21, 1965 The Frances Hubbard Diaries

January 21, 1965
Thursday, sunny 5.  I wrote to Marilyn.  Cleaned stove pipe. At 11 am we left for Oneonta and ate at the diner in Grand Gorge.  I went to prayer meeting with Maude,  Candy Bailey funeral. Oneonta had lot more snow than we had.
Comment: There was always some maintenance to be done on that old hours. Here is the chimney the stove pipe ran into......risky business.....

I had lunch at that diner on my honeymoon in June of 1951

You're always young in your mind it is said, No matter the face in the mirror, That you see with surprise then say to yourself, "What is that old man doing here?"
