Monday, March 15, 1965 The Frances Hubbard Diaries

March 15, 1965
Monday, cloudy, snow flurries, 30, I ironed nearly all day.  David borrowed money at Grand Gorge bank.  He and Clifton cleaned the chimney after dinner, it smoked bad.  We called Dougie, he was still in the hospital but expected to be released in a couple of days.
Comment: Seems like we had to clean that chimney a lot, it really is a wonder the house did not burn down....I remember a couple of times it nearly did......

You're always young in your mind it is said, No matter the face in the mirror, That you see with surprise then say to yourself, "What is that old man doing here?"
