Wednesday, 11 April, 1962, The Frances Hubbard Diaries
Nice day.  We washed.  Clifton was home from Schoharie at noon.  I went to Prattsville with him in afternoon.  Otis and Myrtie came down.  Floyd and Anna (Blakesley) were here for supper.  Marilyn, Carol, Sue and I went to prayer meeting at Louvilla's.  Marilyn was leader, she had bad cold.
Comment:  It's remarkable how social the family was at that time...always going somewhere, lot's of callers and drop-in supper and dinner guests...very connected to the community, friends and family.... Floyd and Anna were Rudy Blakesley's parents and Aunt Winnie's in-laws......Uncle Rudy & Aunt Winnie on the steps of Grandpa Elmer's farm....

You're always young in your mind it is said, No matter the face in the mirror, That you see with surprise then say to yourself, "What is that old man doing here?"
