Monday, 23 April, 1962, The Frances Hubbard Diaries

Monday, 23 April, 1962, The Frances Hubbard Diaries
Cloudy, windy, 50 at 5 am, about 38 in pm.  Kids were still home.  Clifton, Gerald, and Jim all went to work.  I washed and hung only a few clothes on the line as it was so windy.  Barbara Edwards called about the point system at church.
Comment:  Not sure what the "point system" is all about.  The family in a corn field:  From left, Norm, Ella Mae, Mom, Bessie in back, Tenblad girl in back, Emma Tenblad in front, Judith and Billy....Norm holding a cigarette...He smoked all his life, I remember him in Richmondville in his easy chair smoking..very normal for those times....

You're always young in your mind it is said, No matter the face in the mirror, That you see with surprise then say to yourself, "What is that old man doing here?"
