Friday, 9 March, 1962, The Frances Hubbard Diaries

Friday, 9 March 1962, The Frances Hubbard Diaries
Cloudy, 34.  I washed.  Clifton cut logs and a load of wood.  Ethridge got a load of hay and paid in full, $41.46.  Earl, Lillian, LaVerne, and Roberta were here at night.  David went home with LaVerne and Roberta to draw mail because we were supposed to have snow but didn't get any.  Marilyn called from Shelby, NC and said they would be here Monday or Tuesday.
Comment:  In a conversation with Dean Harris and wife awhile ago he recalls the trip across country with his parents... this picture is from about that time:  Dean, Jim, Patty, Marna.....

You're always young in your mind it is said, No matter the face in the mirror, That you see with surprise then say to yourself, "What is that old man doing here?"
