Friday, 5 August 1966, The Frances Hubbard Diaries
Nice Day, 70's.  Sue and I picked currants in am after I washed.  Went to Prattsville after Carol's clothes she left at Debbie's.  The girls and I went after Doug at 730 pm. Clifton home late and finished at Cairo.
Comment:   "Clifton home late" means Dad was out carousing.  His job ended, probably at a Thruway interchange in Cairo.  Brother Douglas Maynard and First Cousin Glenn Taylor about 1947 or so

You're always young in your mind it is said, No matter the face in the mirror, That you see with surprise then say to yourself, "What is that old man doing here?"
