Wednesday, February 5, 1964 The Frances Hubbard Diaries

February 5, 1964
Wednesday, beautiful sunny day, 70's.  I made rolls.  Kathy Goodman was here with a  4 year old and Ricky Barken, a 6 yrs old, in pm.  I took them home 5:45 pm.  Comment: The family certainly seems to have melded into the community.  Mom's rolls were to die for, fresh out of the oven, loaded with melted butter.   ....this is how I remember the rolls looking.  After they baked, mom would spread butter on the tops when they were still hot....

From Marilyn:Those rolls look so good. Thanks again Gerald. We really were very social and had a good time. I remember it was a little lonely when they went home. The cruise was great fun. "M"

You're always young in your mind it is said, No matter the face in the mirror, That you see with surprise then say to yourself, "What is that old man doing here?"
