Friday, February 14, 1964 The Frances Hubbard Diaries

February 14, 1964
Friday, nice, sunny day, but cool.  I washed in am wrote to Doug, Mother, LaVerne and Gerald.  Marilyn and I went to rummage sale in pm.  Carol stayed with Marilyn overnight.  Received a package of letters from Roberta.
Comment:  Roberta must be collecting their mail  and forwarding it....I wish the family would have saved some of those letters.  I think they would have made for some very interesting reading with much richer detail as to what was going on at the time...Mom's diaries are great but, a bit terse.....no mention of Valentine's Day....

You're always young in your mind it is said, No matter the face in the mirror, That you see with surprise then say to yourself, "What is that old man doing here?"
