Sunday, February 23, 1964 The Frances Hubbard Diaries

Sunday, February 23, 1964
Lovely day, 60's.  Went to church and Sunday school and Marilyn's for dinner.  We walked over to Mt. in front of Jim's after dinner, beautiful view of Ramona and surrounding territory.  Went for ride with Jim's to Randall's nursery on a plateau then down to San Diego river bed and back to Pine Hills and Julian.  About 20 miles of narrow curved dirt roads down to river bed from about 3000' elevation to sea level and back to 3000'.  Marilyn, Jim, and the kids here for supper.  Had a letter from Dougie.
Comment:  Sounds like a nice Sunday with family and touring.  Here is a picture of what they might have seen.

You're always young in your mind it is said, No matter the face in the mirror, That you see with surprise then say to yourself, "What is that old man doing here?"
