Monday, December 9, 1963 The Frances Hubbard Diaries

December 9, 1963
Monday, rainy day in Ramona all day and night.  Marilyn and kids came over in am.  I did some unpacking.  Marilyn, Jim and kids here for dinner.  We went downtown and did some shopping.  Patty wasn't in school because of a bad cold, other kids didn't go either.  Marilyn and Carol took clothes and did them at the laundromat.  We were all over there for supper.  We bought ironing bench, mattresses, washer and bed frame at second hand store.  Dean has his lip cut when grinder fell on him in garage and had 6 stitches taken.

From Marilyn: Just a Little note about the accident with Dean. Wayne and I took him to the doctor for the stitches and Wayne almost passed out, he had to lay down on the floor. The cut on the lip was really quite bad and sewing up a lip is tough. Wayne was really a tender hearted guy. I miss him. LU "M"

You're always young in your mind it is said, No matter the face in the mirror, That you see with surprise then say to yourself, "What is that old man doing here?"
