Saturday, 7 July, 1962, The Frances Hubbard Diaries

Saturday, 7 July, 1962, The Frances Hubbard Diaries
Fair, in the 70's.  Boys finished baling hay and cut all of the field in back of the house.  Carol and I took cupcakes to bake sale at Brown's and went to Marilyn's and got Sue.  They came up at noon and washed car at Hall's.  Wayne and Red drove Doug's car to Catskill and had to leave it all night because it wouldn't start.
Comment:  Red is Red Schemerhorn from Bull Hill Road.  Wonder how they got home...many incidents like that...also the well and spring may be running dry if they washed the car at Hall's....here's how we all looked at that time.....

You're always young in your mind it is said, No matter the face in the mirror, That you see with surprise then say to yourself, "What is that old man doing here?"
