Sunday, July 25, 1965, The Frances Hubbard Diaries

Sunday, July 25, 1965
Still hot and humid.  Girls and I went to church in am and at night.  Gerald, Maryann, LaVerne and Roberta here for dinner.  Church full.  Seventy one at Sunday School.
Comment:  I did not realize there were 71 kids in the area....and in other news, on this day at the Newport Jazz Festival, Bob Dylan went electric, was booed, and for about a year and a half on his tours through Europe and the US, he was booed at every performance but he kept on keeping on...also, in 1950 on this day, Lefty Frizzell recorded his "If You've Got The Money, Honey, I've Got The Time" and set the stage for the moves and vocalizations of Elvis....take a look...also does Saginaw Michigan.

You're always young in your mind it is said, No matter the face in the mirror, That you see with surprise then say to yourself, "What is that old man doing here?"
