Tuesday, September 8, 1964 The Frances Hubbard Diaires

September 8, 1964
Tuesday, clear, fair and hot, 80's.  Kids started school at 1 pm.  Clifton and I went to Cobleskill and saw Louise at the hospital.  We decided to put grandpa in hospital for 10 days and have them come here for the winter.  Girls went to party at parsonage at night. Merle and Ella and Earl were here in evening.
Comment: Mom and Dad step up to care for Grandpa and Louise...two more people in that drafty small house for the winter with one tiny upstairs bathroom is not a small undertaking....this is the bathroom.....

From Marilyn: They had a way of making do with what ever, as you can remember. Mom used to say blessed be nothing. When we have nothing we trust God more. LU "M"

You're always young in your mind it is said, No matter the face in the mirror, That you see with surprise then say to yourself, "What is that old man doing here?"
