Sunday, September 20, 1964 The Frances Hubbard Diaires

September 20, 1964
Sunday, lovely day, warm. Went to church and Sunday school.  LaVerne and Roberta, Winnie and Rudy called.  Clifton and I went to see grandpa and Louise in pm.  Clifton left for Eagles Bay 7 pm.  Girls and I went to church.  Clifton called about 10 pm.
Comment: Eagles Bay is about 140 miles from Hubbard Hill so Dad is going up the night before an early work start the next day. Another Triple Church Sunday.....

A famous novel and movie were based on events in Eagles Bay......
The novel was "An American Tragedy" by Theodore Dreiser and the movie based on the book was "A Place In The Sun" with Montgomery Clift and Elizabeth Taylor.....

You're always young in your mind it is said, No matter the face in the mirror, That you see with surprise then say to yourself, "What is that old man doing here?"
