Friday, October 8, 1965 The Frances Hubbard Diaries

Friday, October 8, 1965
Cloudy intervals, warmer about 60.  Louise stopped about 11 am and had lunch with me.  David had transmission fixed in his car.  I worked on windows and washed them all in pm after I washed in am.  Sent for radio to Sears.  LaVerne, Roberta and John here in evening.  Girls and I weren't here, had gone to Carlisle with Joyce and Evelyn (Bailey) to see God's Country.
Comment:  Mom wants the radio to listen to the Christian radio shows, The Sword Of The Lord and Jack Wertzen, both shows we grew up with....

From Sister Sue: And the Jack Wertzen camp, called Word of Life Camp, Hayley, Mark’s step-daughter, went to that camp this year at Schroon Lake. She had a great time. Susan

You're always young in your mind it is said, No matter the face in the mirror, That you see with surprise then say to yourself, "What is that old man doing here?"
