Tuesday, 4 October, 1966, The Frances Hubbard Diaries

Tuesday, 4 October, 1966, The Frances Hubbard Diaries
Partly cloudy, warm 60 degrees.  I cleaned the kitchen in am and worked on Carol's green dress.  Evelyn Thomas and Evelyn Bailey here in pm to plan church picnic on Saturday.
Comment:  The church parsonage, probably where the picnic will be held.  I first learned to ride a bicycle on that lawn and will never forget the feeling of elation and flying when I first balanced rode the bike.  It was a girl's bike and I think it belonged to Janet Kingsley at the time...

You're always young in your mind it is said, No matter the face in the mirror, That you see with surprise then say to yourself, "What is that old man doing here?"
