Saturday, 10 September 1966, The Frances Hubbard Diaries
Nice Day, 60's.  Girls and I went to Cobleskill to shop and Carol had her eyes fitted, got boys shirts for their birthdays.  Debbie came after Carol at 4 pm.  Clifton gone all day and most of the night.
Comment:  Dad on a "toot". "Earl's Pond", this was the first one he built and a major element in our lives, skating, fishing, swimming, bathing because we had no bathroom.  I well remember the rickety "diving platform" and Uncle Howard and other diving off it.  This is about 1943 or so..the city people called it Hubbard Lake.

You're always young in your mind it is said, No matter the face in the mirror, That you see with surprise then say to yourself, "What is that old man doing here?"
