Tuesday, 10 May, 1966, The Frances Hubbard Diaries

Tuesday, 10 May, 1966, The Frances Hubbard Diaries
Eighteen to 30 degrees, about 3 inches of snow but all melted during the day. Roberta and John here all day and LaVerne came for supper.  I helped her make a dress.  Sue home, cold and ear ache.
Comment:  Just found out from Marilyn that about 20 years prior to this date in 1946, we had the school-closing snow storm during which she fell with both hands onto a hot stove top and burned both hands; the scars remain to this day.  I still vividly remember it.....

You're always young in your mind it is said, No matter the face in the mirror, That you see with surprise then say to yourself, "What is that old man doing here?"
