August angel, shining bright
Sixty two years old tonight
How’d you raise those rowdy kids
And they turned out the way they did
And since the time that we joined hands
Good hearted woman, good timing man
Stayed with me for forty years
Kept your head through joy and tears
Loved your parents, loved mine too
Met all problems, saw them through
May we all see you old & gray
With grand kids ‘round you every day
