Friday, April 10, 1964, Heading Home, Ticket, Dean In Tears, The Frances Hubbard Diaries

April 10, 1964
Friday, beautiful day, warm we left M's at 8 am.  Dean said "I hate to let them go", and cried as hard as he could.  Went to Escondido and San Bernidino, got a ticket for driving over 50 with a trailer.  Reached Barstow at noon.  Gas 43 cents, crossed Colorado river and left California at 3:30 pm. desert and semi-desert.  Stayed overnight at Seligman Arizona.
