Wednesday, still cloudy and showers. We went to L.A. in am, ate lunch there, went to Long Beach to Union office, drove down Rt 101 and alternate 101 along back, beautiful along there. Very flat from long beach down a ways then were Mountains close to the sea and homes built on top of them, saw hundreds of oil wells near Huntington. Got back 5 pm ate supper with Marilyn and Jim.
Comment: Another road trip. I remember riding a bus along that same route to get to San Diego from Monterey and return.....Dad looking for work out of the LA operating engineers office....
You're always young in your mind it is said, No matter the face in the mirror, That you see with surprise then say to yourself, "What is that old man doing here?"
