Comment: Busy day......an on this day in 1911, when Dad was about 3 years old.... one of the darkest moments of America's industrial history, the Triangle Shirtwaist Company factory in New York City burns down, killing 145 workers.  The owners had a history of burning down their factories to collect the insurance money and therefore made sure that  sprinklers and other devices to fight fires were at a minimum in case they wanted to burn this one...and of course, they got away with it....take a read.....
