Friday, 27 April, 1962, The Frances Hubbard Diaries

Friday, 27 April, 1962, The Frances Hubbard Diaries
Sunny, 80 degrees, windy.  David and Wayne home, we cleaned the woodhouse. They cleaned and cut brush up by the swing.  Begin to notice the trees turning green.  Ethridge got 50 bales.  I reset tomato plants.
Comment:  Sound like a nice day, no mention that it is Dad's birthday.  B April 27, 1908, Died January 4, 1984, age 75 years, 8 months and 8 days...eerie...younger than I am now......here is is trying to fix the Hubbard Hill house...I and the rest of the boys used to sleep in that attic where the windows are and the rain and snow blew in...probably early fifties...below is my tribute to him.

Never saw this picture before. Love it

You're always young in your mind it is said, No matter the face in the mirror, That you see with surprise then say to yourself, "What is that old man doing here?"
