Monday, September 14, 1964 The Frances Hubbard Diaries

September 14, 1964
Monday, high 60's, sunny and quite warm and clear.  I ironed nearly all day.  Couldn't get pump to pump water.  Wayne got it running at night.  Girls and I went to Grand Gorge for supper and did washing.  Gerald had to go to school and didn't work but David did.  Winnie called in pm.  Louise came home from hospital with Joyce Bailey.

Comment: Starting my last semester at SUNY@Albany..keeping water to the house was a never-ending battle. Either the pump did not work and the lines froze, broke, or leaked profusely. The women probably had a fun time at the laundromat and dinner.....here is a montage of Mom and various kids and folks......

You're always young in your mind it is said, No matter the face in the mirror, That you see with surprise then say to yourself, "What is that old man doing here?"
